FAQs

Can I use my own domain name(s)?

Yes. The domain name (for example pageplay.com) for your PagePlay site can be anything you like, provided that either you already own it or it is available for registration. The registration and management of your first domain name is included in your PagePlay subscription. We can register, manage and renew additional domain names for a small annual investment.

Can I add videos to a PagePlay site?

Sure. First upload your videos to a free YouTube or Vimeo account, then you can copy and paste the video page link into PagePlay. It's really easy and you can embed as many videos as you like throughout your site.

Can I allow other people to edit my site?

You can have as many editors as you like and if you need to, you can restrict them to specific pages. All you need to do is to provide us with their full names and email addresses. By default they will be able to edit all pages. If you wish to restrict them, then you also need to let us know the URLs of the specific pages they should be able to edit.

How easy is it for me upgrade my site's design in the future?

Very easy!

One of the key benefits of a PagePlay site is that a re-design does not mean you need to upset or re-do any of your content. We can apply a new design for your site very easily without the need for disruption. When you want to re-design with us, you can choose any of the setup options we already offer.

Redesign prices are available on request.

What happens to my existing email accounts when I transfer my domain name and hosting to you?

We would create a mirror of your email address setup on our server and then send you new settings. Initially you would have these settings in parallel to your existing ones in Outlook (or whichever mail application you prefer). When the actual server switchover takes place, your emails will start to be delivered to you on the new settings. You will not miss any emails which are sent to you as where one server leaves off, the other picks up. It is worth making sure that you have an offline (e.g. in Outlook) backup of any mail or folders associated with your current accounts – this may include Drafts, Sent Items or project folders etc.
