How do I make text bold or italic within a paragraph?

Sometimes you might want to make part of your text appear as bold or even to appear in italics. You do this by adding a couple of helpful characters when you enter your paragraph text which tells PagePlay where you want each effect.

Making sections of text bold

When you add your paragraph text, place an asterisk character like this * next to the first letter of the text you want to make bold, and then another one next to the last character.

You must have a space before the first * and a space after the last one.

When you are adding a paragraph you can click on the 'More info' link to see the exact text you need to type to get each effect that is available.

Making sections of text italic

When you add your paragraph text, place an single quote character like this ' next to the first letter of the text you want to make italic, and then another one next to the last character.

You must have a space before the first ' and a space after the last one.

When you are adding a paragraph you can click on the 'More info' link to see the exact text you need to type to get each effect that is available.
