Headings

Headings are nice big titles like the one above - "Headings". Your headings will be styled according to the design of your site - but they always work to denote the highest level of title in your content.

Subheadings

An example

Headings are slightly smaller titles like the one above - "An example". Your subheadings will be styled according to the design of your site - but they always work to denote the second highest level of title in your content.

Paragraphs

The main text content of the site is made up of paragraph items, infact, this text right here is a paragraph item!

Paragraphs come with some additional formatting options such as..

Bold text
Italic text
superscript text
subscript text

Links

Within paragraphs or on their own:

We believe sometimes it's good to link directly to something you are talking about in the text where you mention it. So if I was to say that BBC News was a great website, my visitors might expect to be able to click on BBC News in order to go straight there and see for themselves.

I may also want to clearly signpost the fact that this is a link I recommend:

As this page demonstrates, PagePlay lets you create both kinds so you can choose which one is more appropriate for your link.

Lists

List items are ideal for when you want to list short pieces of text. For example:

  1. John Smith

  2. Fred Bloggs

  3. Sarah Johnson

The bullet points in the list can be set to bullets, numbers, letters. Great for all types of lists. Of course, the bullets are optional, you can choose to have none if you wish.
